“Crossing the expanse of each moment with as much grace, dignity and compassion, as possible”
- Hafiz

Our goal in Haiti is to send teams of people throughout the year, for short trips of one week to 10 days, to provide fresh filtered water equipment and work with people to solve on-the ground water system issues in their communities. Each team will come prepared to strategize solutions to drinking, cooking, bathing and waste water issues for individuals and small communities. Our equipment and services will be gifted.

If you know a community “mama” in Haiti who needs support, or if you know someone who would like to be a part of a team this year, please e-mail info@globalreliefresources.org, with “Haiti” in the subject line.

When the earthquake happened in Haiti, all of our hearts were moved in prayers for grace. All of us have been moved to reach out to the people of Haiti in different ways. As a small relief-capable organization, we are able to support small communities and individuals, in solving their water access issues. We honor the larger relief organizations who are the “first response,” in this situation. We are grateful to all of the governments and organizations who have been on the ground already, for the stabilizing they provide in such an outrageous situation where large numbers of people are in dire need, all at once, all of a sudden.

We encourage everyone to support these larger organizations, like Oxfam as well as smaller efforts, like ours, because we are each playing an important roll. Haiti’s situation will need ”all of us.” If everyone gives what they can, everything will be taken care of. We are honored to join the world’s relief workers as a small, volunteer-based, grass roots organization who can provide “the gift of fresh water” to small communities and neighborhood “mothers.”

At this time we have four units, which we will gift to community leaders through the networks of V-Day and an orphanage on the ground in Haiti. Tyler is currently designing and has ordered parts for a larger system that will be more durable and provide fresh water for more people. We’ll be networking with Burners Without Borders and other people who we know through local friends in Santa Fe, NM. With your financial support, the more water systems we will have the capacity to gift to individuals and communities. Thank you for joining us in supporting Haiti with their recovery and rebuilding. Please follow along with us as we go there.
